The Archives

The Canadian Typography Archives is dedicated to documenting and preserving typographic history – from every corner and community across Canada.

Our core mission is to identify, preserve, contextualize and to share exceptional work of enduring value with the public.

Whose stories and artifacts are included in the Archives? Typographers, typesetters, type designers, calligraphers, sign painters, graphic designers, information designers, creative directors, art directors, printers, and much more.

Some work will have been rarely or never before seen by the public.
